Healthy Markets Research Institute
The Healthy Markets Research Institute is a collaboration of market structure experts gathering and analyzing data from public and proprietary data sources. The Research Institute will provide a unique resource for academics, market participants, and regulators to study market structure.
The Research Institute is focused on promoting high-quality market structure research across a variety of asset classes and sectors, based on proprietary and public data sets. Healthy Markets is working with ISECOM (the Institute for Security and Open Methodology), a leading technology security organization, to develop a secure platform for collecting, storing, and analyzing large volume trading data sets.
Research proposals are taken from any interested researchers, and proposals are reviewed by our Review Committee. The Review Committee is led by Robert Battalio, Professor of Finance at the Mendoza College of Business of the University of Notre Dame.
We urge interested academics, market participants, and other interested parties to join us in this effort. We are currently soliciting:
- Market structure experts seeking to participate on the Review Committee;
Funding to promote research though awards to promising research proposals; and
Market participants that may be willing to collaborate through the provision of data or other resources.
